Homecoming: On July 1, 1997, during the Hong Kong handover, flag bearers, Hong Kong police, diplomats, and a watch repairman collaborated to ensure the five-starred red flag was raised precisely at midnight, symbolizing Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
Greetings from Beijing: Amid the 2008 Beijing Olympics, taxi driver Zhang Beijing (portrayed by Ge You) unexpectedly scored a ticket to the opening ceremony. After a series of mix-ups, he shared this momentous occasion with a boy from Sichuan.
Daytime Meteor: In 2016, two wandering brothers, with the assistance of Old Li (portrayed by Tian Zhuangzhuang), witnessed the touchdown of the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft, experiencing a transformative moment symbolizing the nation's progress and aspirations.
Guardian: On September 3, 2015, female pilot Lyv Xiaoran (portrayed by Song Jia) fulfilled her duty as a backup pilot during the parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against the Japanese Aggression (1931-45).
